The Locum MD will conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents. They will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide therapy and medication management as needed.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree with a valid medical license and have completed a residency in Psychiatry with a focus on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Experience in a clinical setting treating children and adolescents is required, along with familiarity with EMR systems.
This contract position is on-site and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young patients while working within a collaborative medical practice environment.
As a Locum MD in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for children and adolescents. Your expertise will be vital in delivering high-quality mental health care and working alongside a team of professionals committed to improving patient outcomes.
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide therapy and medication management as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and educators Maintain accurate and timely patient records Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings Educate patients and families about mental health issues and treatment options Stay updated on best practices and advancements in child psychiatry
MD or DO degree with a valid medical license Completion of residency in Psychiatry with a focus on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Experience in a clinical setting treating children and adolescents Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practice Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call requirement

Patient Population: 13-17 years old
Patient Volume: 15-20 per psychiatrist per day
ADC: 95-100 total patients
7.5-8 days

5 full-time psychiatrists, 3 part-time psychiatrists, 5 family practice physicians (medical consultants), RN, BHS, NPs
Must be board-certified
