This contract position is an on-site role that presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within the medical practice industry.
As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and contribute to ongoing medical projects.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs Analyze and interpret imaging results to provide accurate diagnoses Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare teams Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiological technology Contribute to departmental meetings and case discussions
MD degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license to practice in the state Completion of residency in Radiology Strong clinical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of radiology software and imaging technologies Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Patient Population: Pediatric through geriatric
Stereotactic biopsies, breast ultrasound biopsies, breast localization procedures, mammo and ultrasound-guided biopsies
Team Structure: 6 additional radiologists + full complement support staff
EMR: Epic
Dictation: Powerscribe
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
