Locum AA (Anesthesiologist Assistant)

This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work on-site within the medical practice industry, providing critical support in anesthesia care for various surgical procedures.

As a Locum AA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during anesthesia administration. You will collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care. This position is essential for maintaining the standards of care and efficiency in our practice.

Responsibilities

Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia during surgical procedures Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgery Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies Communicate effectively with surgical teams to ensure seamless procedures Assess patient conditions pre- and post-anesthesia Provide education and support to patients regarding anesthesia procedures Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in anesthesia care Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records

Requirements

Associate's degree in Anesthesia or related field Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Experience in a clinical setting preferred Willingness to work flexible hours as needed

Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 4 days/week

Paid travel
