The pharmacist will provide direct pharmaceutical care, including medication selection and dosing, while actively participating in emergency response scenarios like trauma and code blue situations. They will also lead quality improvement initiatives and provide mentorship to pharmacy students and residents.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and meet licensure requirements for the state of Kansas. Previous clinical or hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in an emergency department setting, is preferred.
As an Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist, you will operate at the cutting edge of patient care within a 26-bed Emergency Department recognized as a Level III Trauma Center, which sees a substantial volume of ED visits annually.
Your contributions will be pivotal in advancing the landscape of emergency medicine pharmacy services.
