The Locum MD will administer anesthesia and monitor patient vital signs during various surgical procedures. They are also responsible for collaborating with surgical teams, managing postoperative care, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and possess an active medical license in the state of practice. Completion of residency training in Anesthesiology is required, and board certification is preferred.
This contract position is on-site and presents a unique opportunity to provide high-quality anesthesia care in a variety of clinical settings.
As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a critical role in patient care, working closely with surgical teams to ensure the safety and comfort of patients undergoing procedures. Administer anesthesia and monitor patient vital signs during surgical procedures Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes Evaluate patient medical histories and prepare anesthetic plans Manage postoperative care and address any complications related to anesthesia Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia records and patient interactions Educate patients and their families on anesthesia procedures and safety Stay updated with the latest advancements in anesthesiology practices Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license in the state of practice Completion of residency training in Anesthesiology Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthesia techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Board certification in Anesthesiology is preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p
Patient Census: ~275 per month
Patient Population: Primarily adults, some pediatric ENT
4 operating rooms
Cases: Ortho, general, podiatry, endo, optometry, urology, bariatric
No supervision required
Must be board-certified
