About the role

The physician will evaluate and manage patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while designing and supervising chemotherapy treatment plans. Additionally, the role involves documenting care accurately and participating in the cancer committee to maintain professional community relationships.

Join UChicago Medicine as a Physician in our Hematology/Oncology Department at UChicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center at Silver Cross located in Orland Park.

As a Physician, you will use independent medical judgment to diagnose and treat patients with a variety of cancerous and hematologic conditions in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

  • Essential Job Functions
  • Evaluate and manage patient care in hospital and outpatient settings
  • Design and supervise chemotherapy treatment plans
  • Completely and accurately document care in a timely manner
  • Actively participates in the cancer committee
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with other physicians in the community
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Medical License in Illinois
  • Board-certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
  • 3-5 years of experience is preferred
  • Completed a US Residency Program

Compensation & Benefits Overview

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a medical license in Illinois and be board-certified or board-eligible in their medical specialty. Completion of a US residency program is required, with 3-5 years of experience preferred.
