The Staff Nurse is responsible for gathering clinical information, performing assessments, and administering treatments in an outpatient clinic setting. They also coordinate patient care services, manage specimen collection, and ensure quality control of medical equipment.
Candidates must be a graduate of a School of Professional Nursing (LVN or RN) and hold a valid Texas or Compact nursing license. One year of professional nursing experience and current BLS certification are required.
Description Full Time; M-F; 8am-5pm
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20 and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.
Education: Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing - LVN or RN
Must have a license to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nursing or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact. Successful completion of AHA approved courses in BLS upon hire.
One (1) year experience as a Professional Nurse - LVN or RN
