The Registered Nurse is responsible for the total nursing care, assessment, and documentation of assigned patients to ensure optimal health outcomes. They also administer medications, treatments, and oversee the care delegated to non-licensed personnel.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Professional Nursing and hold a current Texas or compact state RN license. One year of hospital experience and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS are preferred.
Description Med Surg - PRN 12hr shifts (days/nights/weekends)
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing Licenses/Certificates: Current Registered Nurse license certified by the State of Texas or licensure from a state within the nursing compact required. Hold current CPR/BLS or obtain upon hire. Credentials in an advanced cardiac life support course (e.g. ACLS or hospital equivalent) preferred Credentials in a nationally recognized pediatric advanced life support course (e.g. PALS or ENPC) preferred TNCC preferred Experience: One (1) year experience as a Professional Registered Nurse in a hospital environment preferred.
