Provide clinical nursing and medical management for adults with intellectual disabilities within community settings. Collaborate with families, case managers, and support professionals to ensure high-quality, client-centered care and compliance with DDS requirements.
Requires a current Connecticut RN license, a valid driver's license, and a bachelor's or associate degree with 5-7 years of experience (or 3 years of DDS nursing experience). Candidates must have a stable work history and pass pre-employment drug and background checks.

WILA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical nursing and medical management for adults with intellectual disabilities in Windsor, CT.
You will join a talented team of professionals in the field of developmental disabilities in an environment that promotes client centered care, within community settings. You will work closely and communicate regularly with various members of the team including families, case management, and direct support professionals.
Duties: and Responsibilities:
· Exhibit excellent judgment, critical thinking, and reasoning skills as well as the adaptability necessary to identify and meet the needs of each client.
· Maintain accurate/current client records for purposes of continuity of care, team communication and program quality evaluation and compliance in all DDS nursing requirements.
· Provide care in accordance with the DDS Nursing Standards and Guidelines.
· Train direct support professionals for nursing delegated services.
· Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills,
· Must have a dedication to our mission.
· Current and unrestricted licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Connecticut.
· Driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance, required.
· Proficient computer skills, excellent oral and written communication skills .
· Excellent client service skills.

· Post offer /pre-employment drug testing, background checks and physical are part of the hiring process.
· Requires the ability to physically access all areas of a home and yard.
· RN with a bachelor’s degree in nursing with five years nursing experience.
· RN with associate’s degree and seven years nursing experience.
· RN with three years DDS Nursing experience.
