The Radiologic Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. They collaborate with the healthcare team to support accurate diagnoses and maintain accurate patient documentation.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold current ARRT certification and an Arkansas State license. Proficiency in imaging equipment, strong technical skills, and BLS certification are required.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across assigned modalities in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards Accurately position patients and select appropriate technical factors to produce high‑quality diagnostic images Verify patient identity, review imaging orders, and obtain relevant clinical history prior to examination Demonstrate knowledge and safe use of imaging equipment specific to each modality Maintain radiation safety and follow ALARA principles at all times Explain imaging procedures clearly, ensuring patient comfort and addressing questions or concerns Ensure exams are properly labeled, documented, and transmitted to PACS/RIS systems Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation in accordance with department policies and HIPAA requirements Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and well‑supplied imaging environment Participate in on‑call rotation as required Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership Qualifications a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification Current Arkansas State Radiologic Technologist License BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe Ability to function effectively in a multi‑modality imaging environment Strong technical skills, clinical judgment, and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
MRI and/or CT experience or certification strongly preferred Prior experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings Experience with PACS and electronic medical record systems Willingness to cross‑train in additional imaging modalities Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift, move, and position patients with or without assistance Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment safely Visual and auditory acuity necessary to perform diagnostic imaging procedures
