About the role

The dietitian will monitor, assess, and optimize the nutritional status of patients within an inpatient behavioral health setting. They are responsible for coordinating medical and nutritional needs, providing patient education, and documenting assessments in medical records.

www.hamptonhospital.com We are looking for a PER DIEM Registered Dietician to work in our inpatient clinical setting at Hampton Behavioral Health Center. This position plays a vital role in the healthcare team by providing nutritional care to patients in various disease states and conditions. Compromised nutrition in a hospital setting can lead to slow healing and recovery and may extend hospital stays. Clinical Dietician monitor, assess, and optimize nutrition status based on the patient's current medical condition and/or nutrition adequacy. Coordinate medical and nutritional needs, and make recommendations for feedings and/or dietary supplements. Clinical Dietician instruct patients on how to make nutritionally sound food choices to speed the recovery process, prevent disease and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Conducts Nutritional Assessments as needed with complete documentation in medical record in accordance with Healthcare policies of Hampton, NJ State and Joint Commission. Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics Must have a Registered Dietician Certification At least one year experience as Registered Dietician in a Healthcare setting; psychiatric preferred.
