About the role

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, developing personalized treatment programs, and implementing corrective exercises. They must also maintain department policies, ensure safety and infection control, and document patient progress electronically.

This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week, dayshift. Flexibility is key as off shift hours could be required. The Physical Therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services.

Education

  • A valid Ohio physical therapy license
  • Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

and Qualifications:

  • Evaluates patients, and then develops and implements an effective physical therapy program.
  • Review orders for physical therapy. Interview patients; evaluate patient’s physical condition and needs.
  • Develop a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients
  • Recommend modification or changes in the patient’s program based on own evaluation of progress and interpretation of significant findings.
  • Maintain department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance program.
  • Proficient with electronic documentation/typing.
  • Able to safely provide physical therapy and assist with lifting and transferring patients.
  • Ensure safety, environmental control and infection control processes are maintained.
  • Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Ohio physical therapy license and have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program. Current CPR certification and the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring patients are also required.
