The registered nurse will deliver perioperative care to surgical patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. They are responsible for demonstrating clinical competence and expertise in the perioperative field.
Candidates must hold a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license and BLS certification. Previous perioperative experience is preferred, though those without it must complete a surgical competency-based orientation program.
