As a Vascular Technologist, you will perform noninvasive vascular testing procedures and prepare patients for diagnostic imaging. You will also explain procedures to patients and analyze data to produce preliminary reports.
Candidates must have an associate's degree in a healthcare-related field and be a Registered Vascular Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technician. Additionally, 1+ years of experience in a vascular testing training program or certification course is required.
Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic imaging procedures Explains procedures and process to patients Moves imaging equipment into the specified position; determines exposure factors based on height, weight, the portion of the body involved, and the degree of penetration required; and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff Performing Vascular studies Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of data and preliminary report

Associate’s degree in health care related field Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Ability to provide CEU documentation for certification 1+ years of experience from a vascular testing training program or certification course, such as an internship or practicum Computer experience with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs. Electronic medical record (EMR) experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR based on other technology experience
