The Patient Services Technician performs specimen collection via venipuncture and capillary puncture, processes specimens, and conducts point of care testing. They are also responsible for patient registration, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate quality control measures.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A professional certification as a phlebotomist and EKG training are preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent required; Certified phlebotomist preferred; EKG training through an accredited organization preferred.
