The pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and monitoring medications to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical therapy for hospital patients. They also provide drug information, oversee pharmacy technicians, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and possess an active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice. A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical hospital experience and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
