The Nurse Practitioner performs patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatments while managing the full cycle of care from admission to discharge. They also participate in performance improvement, research, and educational activities to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a Nurse Practitioner program and possess current New York State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Professional Nurse. National Board Certification and current BLS certification are also required.
Performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation. Participates in performance improvement, research, and educational activities.
