The Scrub Assistant is responsible for delivering patient care by applying specialized skills and techniques common to operating room technicians. They perform tasks related to patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and complete a certification-eligible training program within 90 days of hire. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred, along with current BLS certification.
Overview Responsible for the delivery of patient care by applying skills and techniques common to the practice of Operating Room Technician. The Operating Room Technician functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs tasks related to patient care.
Education: A high school diploma or GED and, Successful completion of a certification-eligible training program no later than 90 days from date of hire; Successful completion of a non-certification-eligible training program no later than 90 days from date of hire and preferred minimum of One year experience Licenses/Certificates: Current BLS certification within initial 90 days of employment; Certified as an Operating Room Technician preferred
