Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity, cardiology, emergency, orthopedics, alcohol withdrawal stabilization, gastroenterology and surgery.

Must be able to operate all routine CT and radiographic equipment in a safe and proficient manner.

Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered, or be registry eligible, with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

ARRT certification, if not held at time of hire, CT registry is required within 1 year from date of hire, five years of Radiology/CT experience preferred.

Must be able to produce high quality CT examinations and radiographs with a minimum of repeats.

Accountable for operating the C.T. scanner and Radiology equipment, transportation of patients to and from the department, managing the daily schedule.

Must be able to handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams on a daily basis.

Must be able to communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel.

Must directly oversee all duties assigned to first year x-ray students, and indirectly oversee all duties assigned to second year students; will assist in evaluation of student progress.

Will participate in CT performance improvement initiatives.

Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department.

This position requires 24-hour mandatory On-Call, requiring a return time of 45 minutes to the hospital when called.

Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's competency plan.

Job Requirements: Current ARRT license (upon hire).

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Competency in components of Radiography practices.

Preferred Job Requirements: 1 year experience.

Vocational/Technical Associates degree.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an approved Radiologic Technology program and hold or be eligible for ARRT certification. A BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, and the role demands the ability to respond to on-call duties within 45 minutes.
