The Walk-In Crisis Worker provides in-person and phone-based psychiatric emergency assessments and interventions for diverse populations. They coordinate care, maintain clinical documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to connect clients with community resources.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing, along with 3 to 5 years of direct mental health care experience. A valid driver's license and proficiency in crisis intervention techniques are required.
The Walk-In Crisis Worker provides in-person and phone-based assessment, intervention, and support for individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies, including adults, children, and adolescents. As part of a multidisciplinary crisis team, this role conducts evaluations, coordinates care, engages support systems, and connects clients with appropriate community resources.
This full-time position requires the ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments, maintain safety protocols, complete clinical documentation, and collaborate with internal teams and external resources. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally are required.
Must possess a working knowledge of the philosophy, concepts, mandates and operations of community health services and other human services agencies. they must have a knowledge of Crisis Intervention techniques and be proficient in writing and verbal communication skills.
