About the role

Prepare and maintain the operating room by setting up necessary instrumentation and ensuring a sterile environment. Assist surgeons during procedures by providing visualization, aiding in wound closure, and performing accurate counts of supplies.

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Surgical Tech at CHI Williston Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries.

We can’t operate without you.The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient.

Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

Prepare & Maintain: Set up procedure rooms with all necessary instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.

Sterile Expertise: Demonstrate mastery of sterile technique, sterilization processes, environmental controls, and instrument decontamination.

Team Support: Establish and maintain an organized sterile field, ensuring all team members adhere to sterile environment protocols.

Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons by providing visualization of the surgical wound, aiding with wound closure, and applying sterile dressings.

Anatomy & Instrumentation: Apply your knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to surgical procedures, and advance your understanding of instrumentation across various surgical services.

Accuracy & Safety: Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to established procedures.

We are offering a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements Required Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist Program Certified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists (CST/CSFA) Unlicensed Assistive Person: ND (UAP:ND) Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)

Requirements

Candidates must have successfully completed a Surgical Technologist Program and hold a CST/CSFA certification. Additional requirements include BLS-CPR certification and UAP:ND licensure.
