The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing and treating speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders for adults in a home health setting. They must develop treatment plans, execute interventions, and monitor patient progress while coordinating with physicians and families.
Candidates must hold a state license and registration as a Speech Therapist and have completed an accredited program. A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the ASHA is required, and bilingual skills are considered a plus.
