The Cardiac Services Assistant supports technologists by preparing patients for cardiology tests, performing EKGs, and monitoring vital signs. They also manage department supplies and provide clinical support during cardiac emergencies and Holter monitor analysis.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and one to three months of related experience or training. Required certifications include BLS and an EKG course, with a requirement to complete a Basic Arrhythmia course within six months.
