The Pharmacist is responsible for patient-centered medication dispensing and providing clinical services to optimize patient outcomes. They also collaborate with providers to manage prescriptions and counsel patients on treatments and potential side effects.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and an active State Pharmacist License. Additional requirements include BLS and immunization certifications, along with the ability to work in a clinical environment.
River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for an experienced Pharmacist to provide support in our Delta Pharmacy. The Pharmacist is critical in ensuring that patients receive the medications they need through patient-centered dispensing, while also providing clinical services that optimize patient care and outcomes.
The Pharmacist in a community clinic setting plays a critical role in improving access to affordable medications and promoting health equity, particularly through the administration of the 340B Drug Pricing Program. This position ensures safe, effective, and compliant medication dispensing while supporting the clinic's mission to serve underserved and vulnerable populations.

This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, etc. Employees are exposed to blood, body fluids, and other occupational hazards, and are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
