The specialist provides intensive in-home family preservation services, including crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy for families at risk of out-of-home placement. They are responsible for maintaining 24/7 availability, conducting clinical assessments, and managing electronic case documentation.
Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field. A minimum of two years of experience working with children and families in their homes, along with a valid driver's license and auto insurance, is required.

Additionally, staff members are expected to be a role model for children and families, be solutions focused and build upon their strengths. KVC policies employees are also expected to maintain knowledge of, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field; or undergraduate degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Good driving record, vehicle in good condition; automobile liability insurance that meets minimum age requirements.
At least two years’ experience working with children and families in their homes.
Requires Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email
Other duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.
