The Lab Assistant is responsible for receiving, processing, and routing clinical specimens while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols. They must also manage reference lab shipments and maintain the integrity of samples throughout the testing process.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two months of training in specimen collection. Proficiency in laboratory terminology and an understanding of factors influencing test results are also required.
