The Mental Health Technician provides direct, person-centered care and implements treatment plans in a structured residential setting. They are responsible for ensuring client safety, managing behavioral crises, and documenting client progress and participation in daily activities.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license. Educational requirements include a high school diploma with six months of experience, an associate degree with three months of experience, or a bachelor's degree in a human services field.

The Mental Health Technician (MHT) in our Children & Adolescence program, participates in the direct care and plan implementation for clients, as prescribed by physician and treatment teams. The MHT provides supervision, safety and crisis management for the client population; completes documentation of client behavior and participation in programming; adheres to the scheduled activities; serves as role model for positive and mature behavior; utilizes proactive behavioral strategies to minimize client crisis and maximize success.
