The Respiratory Care Assistant provides therapeutic care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses under the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Responsibilities include administering medication, monitoring non-invasive ventilation, maintaining equipment, and documenting patient care.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy degree program and have completed a basic therapy clinical rotation. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA or ARC is required.
