Responsibilities

• The primary responsibilities include performing diagnostic mammography procedures, assisting with biopsies and other diagnostic interventions, and providing critical diagnostic information to physicians.
• The ideal candidate should have advanced training and experience in mammography, with a strong understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.
• Lead diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Perform diagnostic mammograms to evaluate abnormal findings and assist in the diagnosis of breast conditions.
• Assist with invasive procedures, such as biopsies and aspirations, under the guidance of a physician.
• Train and mentor diagnostic mammographers.
• Participate in advanced diagnostic procedures and research.
• Evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the attending physician.
• Ensure the patient’s comfort and safety during and after the mammography procedure.
• Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the diagnostic mammography procedure.
• Perform equipment maintenance and sterilization to maintain the mammography machine in optimal condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Participate in quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of practice.
