The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for assisting physicians during procedures, processing and disinfecting scopes, and maintaining a clean and stocked procedure room. They also handle patient specimens and ensure all equipment is properly prepared and functioning for daily operations.
As an Endoscopy/GI Tech at The Endoscopy Center of Delaware., you will utilize your skills and expertise to provide care to patients. You will demonstrate proficiency in the endoscopic procedure space.
The primary role is to work scope room, cleaning scopes, processing scopes, setting up and breaking down the room, processing specimens on manifest. Helping with stocking and deliveries of department supplies including specialty supplies
The Endoscopy Center of Delaware is an outpatient endoscopic facility specializing in colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and upper endoscopy. We currently 4 rooms performing an average of 42 procedures a day. We are located at 1090 Old Churchmans Road, Newark, DE. Parking is FREE.

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within the Center, in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and team members exhibiting teamwork characteristics. May be responsible for ensuring proper care and use of instruments and equipment. May transport patients to and from procedure room. Assists with cleanliness of procedure room area and assists with room turnover.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a current BLS certification. One year of experience as an endoscopy technologist is preferred.
