The Mental Health Worker assists in the supervision of customer-owners within a treatment or education setting. They are responsible for delivering supportive mental health services and advocacy to ensure quality care.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and be at least 21 years old with a valid Alaska driver's license. Applicants must also meet specific health screening and immunization requirements as a condition of employment.
Hiring Range $16.21 to $21.08
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Mental Health Worker is responsible for assisting in the provision of routine customer-owner supervision in a treatment or education environment. This position is responsible for the delivery of mental health supportive services and other advocate services to customer-owners.
This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.
1. High School diploma; OR GED.
2. At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Additional Qualifications for Mental Health Worker II: Meets all requirements of Mental Health Worker I in addition to the following:
1. One (1) year social service or related work experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Mental Health Worker I at SCF.
