The Diagnostic Sonographer performs diagnostic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to acquire and evaluate medical data. They function as an integral member of the healthcare team to provide quality patient care and communicate effectively with families and staff.
Candidates must hold an American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification with a specialty in OB/GYN. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required to work independently in a clinical environment.
