The patient sitter is responsible for providing bedside presence to ensure the safety of patients who are at risk to themselves or others. They alert nursing staff to patient needs and assist with simple tasks like feeding or hydration under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
