The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide direct care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, communication, social skill development, and managing complex medical needs.
Candidates must hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. One year of experience in a similar role is preferred, along with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our IDD team in our Crafton, PA location.
Our Licensed Practical Nurse interact and support our adults in a variety of potential settings and provide a level of care that enhances the health, safety, dignity, and contentment of every individual served by assisting and training them in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors. This position is located in our PHMC facility that operates as a 45-50 bed location.
Merakey AVS is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.
