Diagnostic Ultrasonographer **Sign-on bonus up to $7,000.00**

Overview

• GENERAL DESCRIPTION Provides technical and specialized skills in the operation of ultrasound procedures on Cherokee Nation patients.
• Duties and responsibilities are conducted in a manner that effectively supports efficient patient services.
• Ensures a safe environment for patients and peers.
• Practices ultrasound safety using "as low as (is) reasonably achievable" (ALARA) concepts.
• Performs procedures as prescribed by Cherokee Nation providers.
• Communicates and works with radiologists, physicists, clinicians, nursing staff, and other patient care providers to ensure high-quality diagnostic procedures are performed.
• Provides training, education, and mentoring to students, technologists, nursing faculty, and others only within the boundaries of competence, based on documented education, training, supervised experience, state and national professional credentials, and appropriate professional experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or must possess ARRT or ARDMS certification/registry in approved certification/registration.
• No additional experience required.

• Physical requirements
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Certificates, licenses, registrations
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Must possess Sonography Technologist licensure/registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire and maintained throughout employment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
