Performs role of Surgical Technologist, with specialty training for Neuro, CVOR, Ophthalmology, Difficult Airway, or Transplant being utilized on a daily basis in an inpatient setting. Staff will take specialty call for these teams as per their specialty experience. Teams who take specialty call separately (e.g., Ophthalmology call from Cross Creek) will utilize this role for their call hours only as a Job 2.
as Surgical Technologist include but not limited to: coordinating instrumentation and sterile field needs for the procedure, preparing the surgical field/back table, assisting surgeon at the field during procedure, assisting other operating room staff as needed. The position requires working within the standards and guidelines of multiple industry agencies (including, but not limiting to TJC, AAMI, AST, FDA, CDC).
Must be able to take call, including weekends.
