The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat pediatric patients using play-based techniques to support developmental and functional needs. They are also responsible for developing individualized treatment plans, providing caregiver education, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program and possess a current Indiana OT license or be eligible for one. Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills are required, with pediatric experience preferred.
Theracare is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our outpatient pediatric team. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working with children in a collaborative, play-based environment and is available for afternoon and evening hours. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with a variety of developmental, sensory, and functional needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support independence and participation in daily activities Utilize creative, play-based therapy techniques to engage children and promote skill development Provide family and caregiver education to support carryover of skills outside the clinic Complete timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care Schedule: Part-time Afternoon and evening availability required
Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Current Indiana OT license (or eligible) Pediatric experience preferred, but not required Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills Passion for working with children and families
