The Wound Care Nurse plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes while working collaboratively with other disciplines. They provide routine care for the sick or injured and intervene appropriately when recognizing changes in a patient's condition.
Candidates must hold a valid LPN nursing license and a valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Prior experience in wound care is preferred, though the company provides training for the role.
