The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing, directing, and coordinating patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They must also recognize and treat physical and psychosocial changes unique to the critical care patient population.
RN- Critical Care Unit
24-bed unit specializing in the care of critical patients.
24-hour intensivist/pulmonary/APP coverage.
Individualized, comprehensive 16-week orientation program which includes the Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO), ACLS certification and NIHSS certification for new nurses.
Mentorship program after orientation to support new nurses.

Certification for Critical Care RN (CCRN) after 2 years’ experience.

The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for implementing, directing and coordinating the care of patients through the use of the nursing process: assessment, planning implementation and evaluation. Included is recognition and treatment of the physical and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the specific unit.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing and hold or be eligible for a Pennsylvania nursing license. Previous nursing experience in a specialty area is preferred, along with current CPR and ACLS certifications.
