Description

• The registered dietitian (RD) is responsible for the nutritional assessment and intervention of acute care hospitalized patients.
• The RD recommends appropriate medical nutrition therapy based on patient‘s diagnosis, nutrition focused physical exam and overall health status.
• Identifies the proper nutrition regimen and places order in the medical record.
• Communicates plan of care to all responsible parties.
