The sonographer performs cardiac ultrasound procedures on inpatients and outpatients, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography. They are also responsible for analyzing sonograms, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient data.
Candidates must hold an associate degree in a healthcare-related field and possess ARDMS or CCI certification. A minimum of two years of experience in sonography is preferred, along with current BLS certification.
Certifications and Licensures
Credential: BLS: Basic Life Support
ULTRA C II, ARDMS OR CCI certification will be accepted. It is preferred that this certification is obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer to the position. If it is not obtained within this timeframe, it will be required within 1 year from new employee's date of graduation or hire/transfer date.
