The Intake Specialist conducts comprehensive diagnostic assessments and develops person-centered treatment plans for a diverse client population. They also manage crisis interventions, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate clinical documentation within the agency.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a human service field and possess a valid clinical license in the District of Columbia. A minimum of two years of direct-care clinical experience with mental health diagnoses is required.
The Intake Specialist is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments and supportive services for a diverse population in a fast-paced Mental Health Rehabilitative Core Service Agency. The clinician will facilitate intake assessments that includes adults, adolescents, or a combination of both. They are deeply familiar with other services and resources within the community and work closely with them to provide information and support when required.
