The provider works under physician supervision to deliver healthcare and patient care management within a correctional facility. Responsibilities include performing assessments, diagnosing patients, and managing medications as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must hold a graduate degree and a valid Florida license as an ARNP or PA. Additional requirements include DEA licensure, up-to-date CPR certification, and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant works under the supervision of a physician in a correctional environment and is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care management. This includes collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, performing assessments, diagnosing patients, and medication management.
