Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Gastroenterology

As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and managing a diverse range of gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal issues Develop and implement personalized treatment plans Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Educate patients and their families on gastrointestinal health and disease prevention Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology practices and treatments Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Valid medical license to practice in Arizona Board certification in Gastroenterology or eligibility for certification Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Prior experience in a similar role is preferred Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Procedures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

Evening and weekend call shifts required

Daily Volume: ~8 consults, ~10 procedures

Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EGD, and ERCP

Support Staff: 2 APPs, anesthesia

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
