The Associate Case Manager supports families by creating therapeutic environments, applying behavior management strategies, and facilitating activities that promote independent living. They also collaborate with the care team to develop service plans and ensure the safety and mentorship of youth.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma and either one year of experience working with youth or two years of social services education. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and the ability to pass a background check and obtain TB/CPR/First Aid certifications.
Candidates must be a minimum of 21 years of age. A year of experience working directly with youth or two years of social services education. If education is used to meet this requirement, degree/courses must be in social science or a related field. A transcript will be required to determine if courses taken qualify. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid TB test results within the previous 12 months prior to hire or the ability to obtain a negative TB test within 30 days of employment.
Support families in creating and sustaining supportive and therapeutic environments. Apply behavior management strategies and track progress to promote positive change. Arrange individual time with youth for constructive activities, securing necessary permissions. Facilitate activities that enhance independent living skills. Collaborate with case managers on service plan development and implementation. Guide families in utilizing and developing community supports. Understand and meet the supervision and safety requirements of youth, offering mentorship and positive examples. Provide transportation assistance for youth as needed. Ensure proper supervision of youth during organized activities and visits. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all interactions and activities. Successfully clear a thorough background check with no history of causing harm, particularly to children or vulnerable adults. Maintain a clean criminal record, demonstrating professional and personal integrity. Hold a valid Washington State Driver's License with at least five years of driving experience and a good driving record for the past three years. Provide proof of auto insurance with coverage of $100,000 or more. Show cultural sensitivity and the ability to respond to the diverse needs of the organization’s community. Acquire CPR/1st Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certification within 30 days of employment (required before starting some positions). Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
