Assists Radiation Oncologists by administering prescribed doses of ionizing radiation using specialized equipment. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, positioning patients, and monitoring their condition during therapy sessions.
Requires graduation from an approved Radiation Therapy program and board eligibility by the ARRT. Candidates must either be board eligible or possess one year of relevant experience.
Education: Graduation from an approved program in Radiation Therapy Experience: Board eligible by the ARRT or 1 year experience Licensure: Board eligible for registry by the ARRT.
