Monroe Health Center is seeking a versatile and compassionate Radiologic Technologist / Laboratory Assistant to join our clinical team at the Craig County Health Center in New Castle, VA. This dual-role position supports both diagnostic imaging and laboratory services, ensuring efficient, accurate, and patient-focused care. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about serving a diverse patient population in a rural setting.

Radiologic Technologist Duties

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g., X-rays) in accordance with provider orders and established protocols Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during imaging procedures Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards Accurately document procedures and maintain patient imaging records Collaborate with providers to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results

  • Duties: Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary draws Process, label, and prepare specimens for in-house testing or external lab transport Conduct basic waived/moderate complexity lab tests as permitted Maintain lab equipment, supplies, and cleanliness according to regulatory standards Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of lab results

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent accredited program) Current ARRT certification State licensure as required Phlebotomy experience Basic laboratory experience or training preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic rural healthcare setting Commitment to providing culturally competent, patient-centered care Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week - No Weekends Compensation & Benefits: Competitive wage based on experience Employer contribution towards health insurance through group coverage Retirement plan with employer contribution 11 paid holidays annually Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, personal, and sick leave

Requirements

Candidates must hold an associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology and possess current ARRT certification. Previous experience in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures is preferred, along with strong interpersonal skills.
