This role supports the clinical team by delivering evidence-based group interventions, fostering a safe and supportive environment, and reinforcing treatment goals established by licensed clinicians. The Group Facilitator works under the supervision of the Clinical Director to ensure quality care and adherence to program standards. Position Responsibilities Facilitate scheduled group therapy sessions in accordance with program curriculum and clinical guidelines Create a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for client participation Implement psychoeducational and process groups focused on mental health, coping skills, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions, attendance, and client participation Collaborate with the clinical team to support individualized treatment plans Monitor client behavior during groups and report any concerns to clinical leadership Uphold all company policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements (HIPAA) Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision as required Support overall program operations as needed QualificationsLicensures/Certifications CPR/First Aid Certification (required) CPI or de-escalation training (preferred) Relevant certification in mental health or substance use (preferred but not required) Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (preferred) Prior experience facilitating groups or working in a behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment setting (preferred) Strong communication, interpersonal, and group management skills
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent and a CPR/First Aid certification. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and prior experience in behavioral health are preferred.
