The LPN provides direct bedside patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with medication administration. They collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma and a valid LPN or LVN license. Additional requirements include current BLS certification and the ability to obtain IV and Blood Withdrawal certifications within 90 days of hire.
Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws Support care plans and patient throughput Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance Document care in EMR/EHR systems Communicate changes in patient condition promptly
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required. 3. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date. 4. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. 5.
