The Clinical Counselor provides individual, marital, family, and group therapy based on biblical principles. They also perform diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and provide consultations regarding mental health issues.
The Licensed/License-Eligible Clinical Counselor provides clinical counseling based on biblical principles and in support of the doctrine and traditions of the Apostolic Christian Church of America.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Have and maintain a consistent Christian walk that is above reproach before the world.
Have a servant’s spirit, a learner’s mind, and an appreciation for the diversity of gifts and talents in the Body of Believers.
Be fully committed to the study of God’s word, sound in biblical doctrine and in opposition of false doctrine.
Provide individual, marital, family, and group therapy, as needed.
Perform assessments that include diagnostic interviewing, referrals for testing, and treatment planning to address the client’s issues.
Provide consultations to people seeking information about mental health issues or relationship problems in themselves or others.
Participate in the development and sharing of informational content to support the agency and the church denomination.
Participate in providing information and mentoring to people from the Apostolic Christian Church pursuing mental health-related education. Performs other duties as assigned; responsibilities may be adjusted as organizational needs evolve.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in counseling or a related field and be licensed or license-eligible in Illinois. Applicants are required to be active members of the Apostolic Christian Church of America.
